Friends,

What a campaign we ran!  For the last several months, we’ve done our very best to provide the people of the First District with a real alternative.  I wish it could have ended some other way. 

But remember: it’s never too late to work for real change in government, and as American citizens, that’s our obligation.  We must continue to fight for a responsive government.  We must continue to advocate for the poor, the helpless, and the hungry.  We must demand that our nation’s heroes - our veterans - are given the benefits they were promised.  And, most of all, we must require accountability from our government. 

When all of those things are done, we rest.  But until then, we press on.
