How do I clear my cache for my browser?

Internet Explorer 6

1. From the Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click "Internet Options."
2. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
3. On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the "Delete Files" button. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.
4. Click "OK," and then click "OK" again.
5. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Then log onto Tootsville.com.

Internet Explorer 7

1. From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click "Internet Options."
2. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
3. On the General tab, in the Browsing history section, click the Delete button. This will bring up the delete browsing history box.
4. Select the "Delete files" button to delete Temporary Internet Files
Select the "Delete cookies" button to delete Cookies
Select the "Delete history" button to delete your browsing history
After you select delete, a box will appear asking you to confirm you would like to delete the files.
Select "Yes" for each one.
5. Click "Yes," and then click "Close" and "OK" again.
6. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Then log onto Tootsville.com

Netscape 7 on Windows

1. From the Netscape menu, go to the Edit menu and click "Preferences".
2. Click the Advanced category on the left, and click "Cache."
3. Click "Clear Memory Cache" and click "Clear Disk Cache."
4. Click "OK" to close the Cache box.
5. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Log back onto Tootsville.com.

Netscape 7.2 on Mac

1. From the Netscape menu, click Preferences.
2. A box will appear with a list of choices. Double click on the word “Advanced.” More choices will appear under Advanced.
3. Click on the word "Cache".
4. A box will appear on the right. You will see a button labeled “Clear Cache. ” Click that button.
5. Click “OK” to close the Cache box.
6. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Log back onto Tootsville.com.

AOL 9.0

1. From the AOL Menu, click on the safety tab and then select settings at the bottom.
2. Select browser settings.
3. Select "Clear My Footprints."
4. Select "Select Footprints to Clear."
5. Click the Clear button at the end of the Browser Cache section.

AOL 9.1

1. From the AOL Menu, click on the safety tab and then select settings at the bottom.
2. Click on "Internet Properties".
3. Click on "Clear my Footprints", this will clear the Browsing History, Browsing Cache, and Blocked Pop-ups.

Safari 2.0

1. From Safari, Look at the top of the screen. Click on the word “Safari.”
2. A list of choices will appear. Click on “Preferences.”
3. Click on “Empty Cache.”
4. A little box will pop up asking if you are sure you want to empty your cache. Click “Empty.”
5. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Then log onto Tootsville.com.

Firefox on Windows

1. From Firefox, look at the top of the screen. Click on “Tools.”
2. A list of choices will appear. Click on “Options.”
3. Click on “Privacy.”
4. Make sure the box next to “Cache” is checked.
5. Click “Clear.”
6. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Then log onto Tootsville.com.

Firefox 2 on Mac

1. From Firefox, look at the top of the screen. Click on “Tools.”
2. You will see a list of things that you can clear. Make sure the box next to “Cache” is checked. You can
un-check the other items if you want to.
3. Click “Clear Private Data Now.”
4. To make sure your cache is clear, close your web browser and open it up again. Then log onto Tootsville.com.

Why can't I log in with my username and password?

Why do I have a slow connection?

Three things may be slowing you down.

  1. A dial-up connection, may be why your connection is slow.
    Ask your parent about other services, such as DSL and cable.

  2. Open programs and downloads slow down your ability to connect to the internet.
    Be sure to close all programs and stop all downloads when connecting to Tootsville.com

  3. Your computer may be infected by spyware or a virus. Ask your parent
    about programs that will check for spyware and viruses.

Why can't I get on the server?

Here are a few things to try if you aren't able to connect to Tootsville.com

  1. Our server may be offline for updates or work on the site.
    Shouldn't be long, so check back soon!

  2. You may need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player.
    Go to www.adobe.com to download the most recent version.

  3. A firewall may be preventing you from logging on to Tootsville.com.
    Ask your parent to help you update your firewall settings.

  4. If you've tried all the options above, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Why is Tootsville running slowly?

If Tootsville.com is running slowly, here are a few things you can try.

  1. Make sure you exit other programs and stop all downloads while on Tootsville.com.

  2. Day and time matter. If it's very busy in Tootsville, games may run slowly.

  3. A slow computer may be the problem. If you're able to, switch to a faster computer
    or check out our "I have a slow connection?" section for more tips.

Why can't I see the full game?

Adjust your screen resolution.

PC Platform
• Go to your desktop
• Right click your mouse
• Click "Properties"
• Click "Settings
• A small box will say "Screen resolution"
• Drag the bar to the right until the resolution reads 1024 by 768 pixels
• Click "OK"

Mac Platform
• Click on the blue apple in the top left corner
• Click "System Preferences"
• Click "Display"
• A box will appear
• Highlight "1024 x 768"
• Click on the red x button on the top of box
